This course can be taken at any time in your training cycle and
will equip you to deal with emergency situations that you may come
across at any time during your life. Whilst this course includes
certain dive-specific training, most of what you will learn is
of general use.
The skills taught in this course will enable you to assist in
the first aid of an accident victim and manage the scene until
professional medical assistance arrives. With the Emergency First
Response course you will gain vital skills, building your confidence
and your ability to help others in distress.
The course is designed to ensure that your time is maximised in
practical application of the techniques you will learn.
The course takes a full day in the classroom and the course fee
includes a deluxe First Response manual and recognition emblem
for you to take away, complete with a basic first aid kit.
The basic course can be supplemented by additional training in
the use of Automatic External Defibrillators (AED), which have
now become common fixtures in most public places.
